1. Scope of this Policy

Thank you for visiting RENDEZ, owned and operated by NTRSCTN, Inc. (referred to as “RENDEZ,” “us,” “our,” “we”). We are committed to respecting privacy rights and concerns and have established and implemented this Privacy Policy to inform users of our website and mobile application, of what personal information we collect, and how we use, share, and protect such information. 2. Agreement to Terms

If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use, then you should immediately discontinue use of the RENDEZ website and mobile application (the “App” and collectively with the website, the “Services”) and/or our services without providing us any personally identifiable information.

3. Effective Date and Changes to this Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date above and will remain in effect until a new policy supersedes it. We may choose to update this Privacy Policy at our discretion, so you should check this page periodically as the terms may change from time-to-time. The most recent version of the Privacy Policy will be reflected by the “Effective” date noted at the top of the page. In the event of a material change to this Privacy Policy, we will provide a conspicuous message either through the Services or via an email address associated with your account informing you of the change. Your affirmative consent or continued use of the Services will constitute your acknowledgment of this Privacy Policy in its current version and your understanding of the terms of this Privacy Policy.

4. The Information We Collect

The types of personal information we collect and process about you can include:


  • Personal identifiers, such as your first and last name, alias/screen name, email address, phone number, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, unique device identifiers, date of birth, account name and password, and correspondence;

  • Personal characteristics/habits/interests, including any hashtags you select or create, including but not limited to your hobbies, interests, physical characteristics, education, relationship status, dietary preferences/restrictions;

  • Professional or employment-related information, including your title or employer;

  • Internet or other electronic network activity information, including browsing history and search history, and information regarding your interaction with a website application;

  • Account information, such as your event history;

  • Geolocation information;

  • Characteristics of protected classifications, such as age, race/ethnicity, religion or philosophical beliefs, gender identity or gender expression, political beliefs, veteran status, national ancestry, physical/mental disability or condition, pregnancy, and marital status;

  • Visual information, including any photos you upload through the photo-swap feature; and

  • Survey information, when you complete any forms, or respond to a survey or questionnaire, we collect the personal information you provide


We collect such personal information directly from you when you visit, participate in, or otherwise use the Services, including but not limited to when you submit registration forms or hashtag requests for the App; participate in a survey; select hashtags for your profile, message other users, or when you otherwise contact us.


You are not required to provide all personal information identified in this Privacy Policy to use our Services or to interact with us, but certain functionality will not be available if you do not provide certain personal information. For example, if you do not provide certain personal information, we may not be able to respond to your requests, create your account, locate nearby connections, or provide you with marketing that we believe you would find valuable.      


5. Cookies 

A cookie is a small string of information that a website that you visit transfers to your browser for identification purposes. Cookies can be used to follow your activity while using a website or across websites, and that information helps companies understand your preferences and tendencies, as well as improve and personalize your website experience. Some cookies are necessary to operate a website, while others can be functional, analytical, or used for targeted advertising (as discussed in more detail below). Cookies on our Services are generally divided into the following categories:


  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: These are required for the operation of our Services.  They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas.  These cookies are session cookies that are erased when you close your browser.

  • Analytical/Performance Cookies: These allow us to recognize and count the number of users on the Services and understand how such users navigate through the Services (e.g., when and which pages are visited, in what order the pages are visited, how long a user may stay on a particular page, and where a user is located).  This helps to improve how the Services works, for example, by ensuring that users can find what they are looking for easily.  These cookies are session cookies which are erased when you close your browser. For example, we use Google Analytics for this process. You can prevent the use of certain cookies by modifying your Internet browser settings, typically under the sections “Help” or “Internet Options.”  If you disable or delete certain cookies in your Internet browser settings, you may still access the Services, however, you might not be able to access or use important functions or features of the Services, and you may, for example, be required to re-enter your log-in details.  


Our App will use Google Firebase Analytics which uses SDK (Software Development Kit) features to log certain activities while using the App for analytical purposes. This information helps us understand your preferences and tendencies, as well as improve and personalize your App experience. You can prevent the logging of certain events by such SDK features by limiting the permissions you provide to the App, (e.g., GPS, camera).


Device Information

Similar to cookies, we may automatically collect certain information about the device you use to access the Services. For example, we may collect and analyze information such as IP addresses, geolocation information, unique device identifiers, browser types, browser language, operating system, the state or country from which you accessed the Services, and other information about your mobile phone or other device(s). In addition to analytical purposes, this information helps us diagnose problems with our server, administer the Services, and display the content according to your preferences.


Do Not Track

RENDEZ respects your privacy, but we do not alter the information we collect or change the Services upon receiving “do-not-track” signals, as the term appears in Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §§ 22575(b)(5). For more information about DNT signals, visit


6. Children’s Privacy

The Services is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly or intentionally gather personal information about visitors who are under the age of 18. If you are aware of, or suspect that, someone under the age of 18 is using the Services without permission, please notify us immediately by contacting us as detailed below. 


7. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use or otherwise process your personal information to:

  • Manage your relationship with us;

  • Respond to your inquiries or requests, complaints, and request feedback;

  • Provide services requested by, or reasonably anticipated by, you; 

  • Collect event statistical information by creating aggregated, de-identified data only; 

  • Tailor Services to your interests;

  • Provide you with relevant promotional materials or information about the company, its products, its outcomes, and opportunities to get more involved;

  • Analyze your use of the Services; 

  • Provide secure identity verification for App access;

  • Detect security incidents and protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity or prosecute those responsible; and

  • Comply with legal requirements.


8. How We Share Your Personal Information

We share your personal information with the following categories of third-parties, where applicable:


  • Advisers and financial institutions, including, legal, tax, auditors, risk and compliance, notaries, and business continuity support services;

  • Service providers and suppliers, including, IT outsourcing, security services, marketing, and user management. In some instances, service providers will be directly responsible to you for their use of your personal information. They may be obliged by law to provide you with additional information regarding the personal information that they hold about you and how and why they process that information. Further information may be provided to you in a separate notice or may be obtained from such service providers directly, for example, via their websites;

  • App visitors, such as when your profile is displayed on the App for other members to view after you check-in or mark yourself as “interested” in attending an event;

  • Where permitted by applicable laws, with third-parties in connection with a corporate restructuring, sale, transfer or assignment of assets or business, merger, divestiture, or other changes to the company’s control or financial status (or any of our affiliates); and

  • Government bodies and dispute resolution and law enforcement organizations, as applicable.


We share only aggregate, de-identified information with our event partners. If you have questions about the parties with which we share personal information, please contact us as specified below.


9. Your Privacy Choices

If you no longer want to receive our newsletter, emails or other marketing communications, you may unsubscribe at any time by following the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our emails,  or by writing to us as detailed below. Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from certain correspondence from us, including messages relating directly to your account or our text identity verification security service.


With exceptions, you may be able to view, amend, or delete your information or deactivate your account by logging in to your account with your username and password. Please note that unless specified otherwise, canceling your account alone, will not delete your information.  Nevertheless, to re-create your Account, you can re-download the App, but you will need to create a new Account using your phone number, you cannot reactivate a previous Account.  


10. How We Store and Safeguard Your Information

We maintain reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse, alteration, or unintentional destruction. Your personal information is only accessible, on a need to know basis, by a limited number of employees who have special permissions. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information as it is transmitted to us. To the extent permitted under applicable law, we assume no liability or responsibility for disclosure of your information due to errors in transmission, unauthorized access by third-parties, or other causes beyond our control. 


You play an important role in keeping your information secure. You should not share your username or password for your RENDEZ account with anyone. If you have reason to believe that your account is no longer secure, please contact us immediately as detailed below.


11. Third-Party Links

In an attempt to provide increased value to our visitors, we may choose various third-party websites (e.g., event ticketing websites, event partners, e-commerce platforms) to link to within our Services. We have no control over these linked sites, each of which has separate privacy and data collection practices independent from us. As such, we have no responsibility or liability for these independent policies or actions and are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of any such websites. We encourage our users to read the privacy policies of such third parties before providing any personal information to their websites or mobile applications.
